How Ready Is Azerbaijan to Supply Gas on Shahdeniz-2 Project?
77% of the preparations for the supply of the first Azerbaijani gas within the second stage of the gas condensate field development project Shah Deniz in 2018 are ready, the Regional President of BP for Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey, Gordon Birrell told reporters.
As part of the pre-drilling, 10 pre-drilling wells were drilled.
‘We have already established three of the four reinforcement systems for subsea manifolds. In addition, the construction of the vessel Khankendi is being completed and in the second quarter of 2017 it will be released into the sea for the installation of manifolds,’ he said.
‘The gas in the second half of 2018 will be delivered to Turkey through the pipeline Trans-Anatolian (TANAP), and by 2020 - to Europe via TAP,’ Birrell said. -12B--
