Authorities Sanction Sunday Rally of National Council
The Baku Executive Power sanctioned the rally of the National Council of Democratic Forces (NCDF), scheduled for 11 September.
The campaign under the slogan No Monarchy, End to Robbery will be held at the stadium Mehsul from 17.00 to 19.00, a member of the National Council, the deputy chairman of PFPA, Gezal Bayramli, told Turan.
The National Council is organizing a rally to protest against the proposed constitutional changes aimed at strengthening presidential power, corruption, the government's economic policies and the impoverishment of the population. -06B--

Elvin Mustafayev, a member of the Alternative Confederation of Trade Unions of Azerbaijan "Workers' Platform," has declared a hunger strike while in detention, sources close to the activist told Turan. He has been on hunger strike since September 28.
