In 2014 SOCAR increased oil shipment from the Ceyhan terminal by 4%

In 2014 SOCAR shipped 20,438,248 tons of Azerbaijani oil from the Ceyhan oil terminal, up 3.7% against 2013.

According to SOCAR’s press office, in December 2014 the company shipped 2,194,300 tons of oil from the Ceyhan terminal.

The length of the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) oil pipeline is 1768 km, of which 443 ones lie in Azerbaijan, 249 km in Georgia and 1076 km in Turkey. The carrying capacity of the pipeline is 60 million tons of oil a year.

The project partners include  BP (30.1%); SOCAR (25.00%); Chevron (8.90%); Statoil (8.71%); TPAO (6.53%); ENI (5.00%); Itochu (3.40%); ConocoPhillips (2.50%); INPEX (2.50%), Total (5.00%) and ONGC (2.36%).—0--
