In Baku, industrial output fell by 4.3%
Baku/21.02.14/Turan : According to the statistics department of Baku State Statistics Committee, in 2013, metropolitan enterprises produced goods and services worth 29,575.9 million manat. The physical volume of the industrial production increased by 2.1%, although comparison with nominal figures for 2012 shows that the volume of industrial production in Baku fell by 4.3%. This is probably due to the reduction of production indicators in the oil sector .
The share of private sector in industrial production in Baku in 2013 amounted to 81.9% . That's roughly the same as the national average . The share of state-owned enterprises account for 5 347.5 million manats of industrial production. This represents 85.4% of the production of state-owned industrial enterprises in the country. In general , despite the claims of the government on the development of industrial production in the regions , Baku owns 87.7 % of the industrial output of the country .
According to the Statistical Office in Baku, 1,219 industrial enterprises operated in Baku in 2012. For the year 5 enterprises were commissioned. However , since 2007 , suspended the activities of 203 industrial enterprises. Then the volume of industrial production in Baku was 20.3 billion manat.
If in 2007 the factories in Baku had 107100 employees, in 2012 this figure fell to 96,400 people. - 08B-

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
