In July, customs officials set a record
In January-July 2013 the State Customs Committee collected to the state budget customs duties and taxes on the total amount of 764 million manat. This provided 55.3% of the plan forecast for this year.
According to the SCC, the amount of customs duties, compared to the same period in 2012 increased by 14.8%, or 99 million manat more. In total this year, customs officials have raised "the bar" on taxes and duties for a total of 180 million or 15%.
In July, Customs officers broke the record for the amount of collected funds - 124.1 million manat. This is 7 bn more than in June.
In 2013, the government raised its forecast for customs duties from 1,200 million to 1,380 million manat. - 08D-
