In June 2013 import of auto transport decreased by 8.9%
During 6 months, 2013 47,890 auto transportation means were delivered to Azerbaijan, reported the State Customs Committee. At the recent session of the government President Ilham Aliyev said that this year import of auto transportation means is forecasted to reach 100,000.
According to the Committee, in June 2013 import of auto transportation means totaled 8,179, down 8.9% against May. Maximum amount of auto transportation was delivered into the country this April – 9,358.
90.1% or 43,186 of imported cars falls to cars, part of the cars are used. The Committee does not release the last year’s data.
From January to June 2013 497 buses were delivered into the country, 3,708 trucks and 499 specialized machinery.
According to the Committee, during 6 months all transportation means and spare parts with a total declared value of $780.5 million was delivered in Azerbaijan, up 28.1% against the same period in 2012.
According to the State Statistical Committee, from January to June 2013 147 trucks, 316 cars and 413 tractors were assembled in Azerbaijan. By July 1, 2013 350 cars remained unsold. The tractors and trucks are assembled at the Ganja automobile plants and cars at the Nakhchivan automobile plant. The plants mainly fulfill state orders.--0--
