Nikoloz Shurgaiya has been appointed as Chairman of the Board "Rabitabank".
As reported in the bank, Nikoloz Shurgaiya has 18 years of banking experience in Georgia, Belarus, Russia and the UK. Prior to joining Rabitabank Mr. Shurgaiya served as an independent director and consultant services rendered in different financial institutions of the CIS countries. In 2009-2011. Nikoloz Shurgaiya served as Chairman of the Supervisory Board in Belarusky Narodny Bank (Belarus), owned by Bank of Georgia. Simultaneously Mr. Shurgaiya is acting Deputy Chairman Bank of Georgia in international business. In 2008-2009 Mr. Shurgaiya served as Chairman of the Board of VTB Bank Georgia. Prior to that, he worked at various times as a leading banking specialist in the department of the Bank (EBRD) to work with financial institutions, Deputy Vice-President of ABN Amro (Moscow) and has held various positions in the United Georgian Bank (Tbilisi). Nikoloz Shurgaiya has an MBA from London Business School.
In 2013 Rabitabank will continue to strengthen its management team to attract new professionals. This is part of a strategy to provide customers Rabitabank banking services in a new way.
