Iran's ban on flights to Azerbaijan and Armenia lifted
Baku/21.09.23/Turan: Iran lifted its ban on flights with Azerbaijan and Armenia.
The Civil Aviation Organization of Iran, represented by its spokesman Jafar Yazerlu, confirmed that flights between Iran and these two countries have resumed. The ban was imposed in connection with the escalation of tension that arose as a result of the military operation in the Karabakh region.
In this regard, the press secretary of the Civil Aviation Organization, Jafar Yazerlu, said in an interview with ISNA: The notification issued last night was caused by the atmosphere of tension created between the two countries - Azerbaijan and Armenia. But now the voltage level has reached a normal level and has disappeared to some extent; Today we have allowed airlines to fly.
He continued: The ban on flights was due to the safety of the passenger's life. Yesterday they started talking about the war, when we canceled the permission of airlines to fly; But today, thanks to the news about peace and a cease-fire, some flights were established.
Regarding the flights that were canceled during these hours, a representative of the Civil Aviation Organization said: these flights will be treated in accordance with the rules of passenger rights.--0--
