The first General Assembly of the Global South NGO Platform (GSNP) was held in Baku on May 14 as part of the “Baku Urban Planning Week,” bringing together representatives from 114 countries across Latin America, Africa, Asia, and the Pacific region.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received a delegation led by Chairman of the National Council of Slovakia Richard Raši. The sides discussed the development of Azerbaijani-Slovak cooperation and highlighted the role of interparliamentary ties in strengthening the partnership.

The media agenda reflects rivalry in the South Caucasus, Azerbaijan’s energy cooperation, the severe consequences of the Karabakh conflict, as well as economic and climate-related challenges.

Among the priority topics in the media and social networks were the Azerbaijani president’s trip to the liberated territories, the 103rd anniversary of Heydar Aliyev’s birth, and the anniversary of the victory over fascism.
