Italian shoemakers arrive in Baku
The hotel Four Seasons in Baku will host an exhibition catalog of Italian shoemakers Shoes from Italy on October 3-4. In Azerbaijan people appreciate Italian shoes, a pair of which cost the customers 250 manats as a basic price.
The exhibition is organized by the Agency of Trade Promotion and Internationalization of the Italian Embassy in Azerbaijan. The Agency told Turan their products at the exhibition will feature 15 companies - CALZATURIFICIO, CAMERLENGO, CALZATURIFICIO KING, CONS.MODA MARCHE RUSSIA, EXITALIA, GIANMARCO LORENZI, GIANNA MELIANI, IMAC, etc. The aim of the exhibition is to establish a business relationship with the prospect of exports and, perhaps, production of Italian brands in Azerbaijan.
According to the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan, in 2012 from Italy were purchased commercially 24.9 thsd pairs of shoes with a total declared value of $ 1,131.2 thousand. A pair of shoes was estimated at customs in the amount of $ 45.4. - 08B -

In late February, the governments of Pakistan and Azerbaijan are expected to sign an investment agreement worth $2 billion, which will include several projects with SOCAR (State Oil Company of Azerbaijan). According to Turan, the energy cooperation projects discussed in January in Islamabad and Baku will feature in the agreement. These projects include energy efficiency initiatives, the construction of a pipeline, and SOCAR’s plans to explore the creation of underground gas storage facilities in Pakistan, as well as documents provided by the Pakistani side related to the exploration and extraction of hydrocarbons in the country.
