Ivanishvili announced reduction of gas tariffs by 10%
Georgian Premier Bidzin Ivanishvili said on Tuesday that the tariffs for natural gas consumption will go down by 10%.
"We continue working and I think we will be able to reduce gas price," Ivanishvili said yesterday at a press conference.
Energy Ministry said that the details of the planned price reduction have not been finished yet. At present gas price for the consumers in Tbilisi is 50.62 tetri per 1 cub.m. and in the regions it varies between 49 and 55 tetri.
The owner of the Tbilisi gas distribution company KazTransGas Tbilisi is KazTransGas, which is a part of the Kazakhstan state-run oil and gas company KazMunaiGas. State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) has become the only gas distribution company in Georgia outside of Tbilisi after it bought ITERA-Georgia company. At a press conference on February 5, 2013 Premier Bidzin Ivanishvili said that fuel prices tend to go down in the past time.-0--
