Joint call "Azercell Telecom" and "PASHA Bank"
OOO "Azercell Telecom" jointly with "PASHA Bank" announces the launch of the "World competition start-up". The project, implemented in cooperation with Barama Innovation Center and the Swiss company "Seedstarts" is the development of an entrepreneurial culture and support for people with innovative ideas.
According to the press service of the leading local mobile operator, this year's "World competition start-up" will be held in 20 countries. It was with Azercell first young people from Azerbaijan have the right to participate in this competition. Project participants will have the opportunity to offer their projects in the field of information technology, to learn about ways to finance them, and get a grant to build the business. "Global competition start-up" offers to the participants the opportunity to develop entrepreneurial skills, implementation of business ideas and promote them internationally.
In the first stage of this competition experts Azercell, "PASHA Bank" and "Seedstars", as well as independent experts will assess the proposed projects. For the selected teams there will be organized a seminar on the use of knowledge in business projects. In the final event there will be declared the winner, who will be awarded. They also have the opportunity to present their business ideas to the international jury grand finals to be held in Lausanne in January 2014.
Also, the winning teams will be able to attract investment to implement their business ideas in technology, take the help of international consultants and introduce themselves in European countries.
Azercell and previously implemented programs support start-up projects. Held by Barama Innovation Centre, the Program for Research and Technological Entrepreneurship supported four business ideas that have already been put into effect.
Finale of the program will be held March 29, 2013 in the Conference Hall Association "Azerbaijani graduates of American universities." Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
