Kaspersky Lab Holding Conference on Cyber Security in Baku
According to the results of January-March, Azerbaijan took the 20th place with 9.3% in the global list of the top 20 by the share of users faced with incidents on personal smartphones, according to experts from Kaspersky Lab at the conference Cyber ??Security Weekend that opened in Baku today.
According to the antivirus specialist Yuri Namestnikov, attention of cyber criminals is attracted to countries, where there is a growing sale of mobile telecom services, and the most vulnerable in the area of ??mobile communications is the Android system with 98.05% of attacks. The IOS system also contains risks, but it is less common.
Attacks of cellular malware were most effective when committed by criminals using infected mobile applications downloaded from online shops. Threats also come from the presence of malware in the original software package of smart phones available in the price range.
According to the Lab, about one-third (30.2%, or + 4% per year) of local personal computers are exposed to the risk of infection via the Internet, and more than half (54%) of the users had problems in security on local networks and on removable storage media.
According to the senior security expert of Laboratory Research Institute (Kaspersky Lab) Mohammad Amin Hasbini, the main reason for high levels of cyber threats in Azerbaijan is the active use of Russian and Russian-language sources, as they are subject to most of the attacks by Russian-speaking hackers. --17D-
