lham Aliyev to sign in Dushanbe 10 documents on the development of the economy
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on October 16-17 will visit Tajikistan on an official visit.
According to the Tajik agency Asia Plus (http://news.tj/ru/news/ilkham-aliev-naneset-ofitsialnyi-vizit-v-tadzhikistan), according to the government of the country, during the visit of the head of state there is to be a meeting with his colleague, Emomali Rahmon, and a number of high-ranking officials, and on the basis of the agreements the signing of the documents is planned.
According to the source AP, presently drafted are 10 documents, in particular, on the economic component of cooperation.
According to figures from the Agency on Statistics of Tajikistan, trade between Tajikistan and Azerbaijan in the first half of this year amounted to more than $ 11 million.
100% of trade turnover between the two countries is imported. Tajikistan imports from Azerbaijan mainly petroleum products. --17D--

Azerbaijan’s imports of animal and vegetable fats and oils climbed 23.9% by weight and 16.2% by value from January to September 2024, official data revealed. Despite the uptick in volume, the import cost of these products saw a decrease compared to the same period last year, with the cost per ton of vegetable oil falling by 6.1% to $1,199.6 in 2024, down from $1,278.6 in 2023.
