Manufacture of motor vehicles increases
Public procurement support the growth of production of motor vehicles in Azerbaijan. Since the beginning of the year, Ganja and Nakhchivan automobile plants have assembled more than 3.200 cars.
According to the committee, in January-November 2014 the Ganja Automobile Plant produced 1,137 tractors "Belarus" (+ 83.7%). The plant assembled 229 trucks (-0.4%) on the basis of "MAZ" (Minsk Automobile Plant), some of which relate to municipal engineering. Almost all the equipment is purchased by the state. Customer of tractors is the state of "Aqrolizinq". Trucks also are bought by the state.
According to the department "Ganja Automobile Plant" (state property) by the end of this year we plan to assemble 300 units of tractors "Belarus" and 70 units of trucks. Before the November this year the plant produced 5,160 tractors, 90% of which (4631) were purchased by the JSC "Aqrolizinq."
The Nakhchivan Automobile Plant (part of the alliance companies «Gemiqaya Holding») this year has assembled 1,861 cars of mark «NAZ Lifan» on the basis of Chinese cars "Lifan". These cars are made mainly for the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare to provide invalids of the Great Patriotic and Karabakh war. In the beginning of December, customers waited for 319 cars.
The automotive industry is one of the lowest paid spheres of industry in Azerbaijan. With the average salary in processing industry AZN 485 per month, motorists get 287.2 manat, and this despite the fact that in comparison with January-November 2013 their work is appreciated by 23.6% higher. --08B--
