Market Prices for Agricultural Products Not to Decrease
The Ministry of Agriculture of AR will create national agricultural centers in Moscow, St. Petersburg and other regions of Russia, said the head of this ministry Heydar Asadov in an interview to Rossiyskaya Gazeta (http://www.rg.ru/ 2015/06/30 / azerbaijan.html) - the central press organ of the government of the Russian Federation.
This means that in the future prices for the products of the local agricultural industry will not fall. Thus, in the capital markets a kilogram of cherries at the end of the season is 2 AZN (last year - 80 kopecks), apricots - 2.5 - 3.5 manats (AZN 1-1.5), which is associated with the export of these products into the post-Soviet countries and, above all, into Russia, where prices are much higher than here.
According to the minister, the government prefers long-term contracts with the northern neighbor. "In particular, along with fresh and processed fruits and vegetables and grape wines, Russian consumers will be offered a wide range of animal products. It is primarily envisaged to expand the supply of poultry meat and eggs," he said, stressing that the most important component of the strategy to diversify the economy is designated to optimize the structure of non-oil exports, in particular by increasing the volume and range of agricultural products, improving its competitiveness on foreign markets . --17D-
