Most Closed Bank to Remain in Market
The issue of bonds of Eurobank in the amount of 39 million manat is planned.
According to the report of the State Committee for Securities, registration of the intention was held on January 15.
The emission is divided into 78,000 bonds with par value of 500 manats per security. For a long time, this bank could not raise funds, and the chief accountant Hasan Bayramov told Turan this was managed due to the finance of a new shareholder.
"The main purpose is compliance with the requirement of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan on the minimum (50 million manat) amount of the total capital of commercial banks. Someone issued information about the sale of the bank, which is not true, because we do not intend to leave the market. The new shareholder will be one of the largest holdings in the country with 50% of the share capital, on which CBA has been informed. Thus, the shareholders team will have a change - instead of 12 individuals there will be 6 individuals and 1 entity," said the chief accountant.
Eurobank has been operating since December 1992. At the moment, its authorized capital is 11 million AZN. --17D-
