Naxtel preparing to become the fourth mobile operator in Azerbaijan
The Nakhchivan wireless carrier standard CDMA - Naxtel is ready to deploy mobile services throughout the territory of Azerbaijan. The structure is prepared to acquire a license to use the GSM frequency band 1800-2100 MHzs claims to be the fourth GSM-operator of the country.
According to the Ministry of Communications and High Tech NAR, now the operator provides services to wireless communication standard CDMA, using the frequency range 800-900 MHz. "The company has prepared a draft network deployment 4G, which will initially be available in the autonomy, the next step will be the same coverage of the fourth-generation network throughout the territory of Azerbaijan. As with other mobile operators in the country, the company Naxtel will provide communications services in the standard GSM,” says the document.
Commercial deployment of the network operator is scheduled for the end of this - the beginning of next year. Own base station operator will not, services will be provided through base stations Bakcell, Azercell and Azerfon. --17D-

Azerbaijan’s imports of animal and vegetable fats and oils climbed 23.9% by weight and 16.2% by value from January to September 2024, official data revealed. Despite the uptick in volume, the import cost of these products saw a decrease compared to the same period last year, with the cost per ton of vegetable oil falling by 6.1% to $1,199.6 in 2024, down from $1,278.6 in 2023.
