New Rates for Life Insurers
Life insurance companies from next year can choose new tariffs, more forgiving for the insured.
This was noted at the meeting of the profile committee of the Association of Insurance Companies of Azerbaijan (AIA). The discussion was attended by activists and financial managers of all companies engaged in life insurance (Pasha Hayat Sigorta, Ateshgah Hayat Sigorta and Qala Hayat Sigorta).
"During the meeting, the participants discussed the methods for calculating the total capital of life insurance companies and the question of determining the tariff rates under the new rules," the information stated.
Following the meeting, they agreed to develop proposals on these issues and present them fully at the next meeting. --17D-

Azerbaijan's financial standing continues to strengthen as the country's foreign currency reserves have surged to $71 billion as of January 1, 2025, according to the Ministry of Finance. This figure, which includes reserves held by the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) and the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), far exceeds the nation's external debt, which stands at a fraction of its reserves, specifically nearly 14 times less. This robust reserve position reflects Azerbaijan's fiscal stability and the government’s strategic economic management.
