New Vessel Delivered to Baku to Service Oil and Gas Operations
The Australian shipbuilding company Austal Australia (included in Austal Limited, ASB) has supplied the Azerbaijani company Caspian Marine Services Limited (CMS) a large high-speed vessel to deliver crews to offshore fields, according to the report by Austal.
‘The contract worth $ 34.5 million for the construction of the ship named Rashid Behbudov was signed in June 2015, and the construction began in October 2015. The vessel is 70 m long, the speed is 30 knots, the capacity is 150 people, and the cargo deck area is 400 square meters. The vessel is equipped with a catwalk (Ampelmann platform) for the safe landing of the workers on offshore platforms,’ the information says.
The vessel type catamaran was designed by INCAT Crowther.
The CMS vessel operator will provide transportation of professionals and important cargo to the block of fields Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli and the gas condensate field Shah Deniz. -0-
