Ninth Adviser to the Minister of taxes
The Tax Minister appointed his ninth in a row advisor. It is 32-year-old Riyadh Huseynov, who before going to the private sector worked in the Ministry of Taxes.
According to the Ministry, Riyadh Huseynov since September 5 has been in charge of the secretariat. He was awarded the rank of Advisor in Tax Service.
Riyadh Huseynov studied finance and loans at the Azerbaijan State Economic University. Prior to this he was since 2012 Chairman of the Supervisory Board of JSC Synergy Group. In 2006 he became Assistant Minister of Taxes and was later appointed head of the department of international relations.
The basic salary of the adviser to the Minister of Taxes is 730 manat. Appointment to this position is carried out by the competition for admission to the civil service, or the orders of the Ministry of Taxes for the employees, officers with the tax authorities.
According to the Regulations of the Ministry of Taxes, the Tax Minister has one first deputy and three alternates. Limit on the number of advisers is not provided. --08B--

Azerbaijan’s imports of animal and vegetable fats and oils climbed 23.9% by weight and 16.2% by value from January to September 2024, official data revealed. Despite the uptick in volume, the import cost of these products saw a decrease compared to the same period last year, with the cost per ton of vegetable oil falling by 6.1% to $1,199.6 in 2024, down from $1,278.6 in 2023.
