Number of gas users exceeded 1.6 million in Azerbaijan
By November 1, 2013 number of natural gas consumers in Azerbaijan reached 1,603,258, of which about 1,584,076 belong to the population category and over 19,000 to other categories, reported SOCAR.
During a month 22,784 new customers have joined the gas networks (by October 1, 2013 number of gas customers totaled 1,580,474).
About 689,000 customers are located in Baku and the remaining ones in the regions.
Till November 1, 2013 803,000 customers from the population category were supplied with the smart card gas meters.—0—

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.

Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met today with Ahmed Moallim Figi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Somalia, at the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry. This meeting followed a discussion held the previous day between Figi and Azerbaijan’s Economy Minister Mikail Jabbarov.
