Official Import of Fur Products Almost Nil
With the onset of cold weather Baku people have increasingly begun to think about the purchase of warm clothing. But according to the State Customs Committee, the shops offering fur products are empty.
For the first nine months of this year Azerbaijan officially imported natural and artificial furs worth $ 56 500. For the whole 2013 the volume of import of fur products amounted to $ 9 400. Prestigious shops in Baku sell a good fur coat for this price. That is, legally a small amount of furs passes through the Azerbaijani border, and the commodity concealed from customs duties and taxes can amount to several million dollars.
It is noteworthy that in 2011, importers of fur products were more law-abiding. Then the Customs registered two tons of these goods worth a total of $ 305,300.
Trading companies claim that they offer an exclusive collection of models produced in Turkey, Greece, Italy and Spain.
Importers of fur products (Femina, Kristina, Snow Queen, et al.) are sponsors of many popular television programs. Only in the mall Sadarak there are about 15 shops collaborating with the leading manufacturers of fur products in the world. --08B--
