In the first half of 2012 the gross output of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic passed the mark of a billion dollars.
As noted in the report of the statistical department of the enclave, its total economy produced goods and services worth 885 million 96 thousand manat ($ 1.127 billion).
The GDP per capita (spelled about 420 thousand persons) amounted to 2,103.9 thousand manat. According to the report, 30.8% of the volume was made up of industrial products, and 23.6% - in the construction sector.
Private traders in the industry in terms of production in absolute terms were much higher than the state sector. Thus, the public sector industries produced goods at 29 million 392 thousand manat, and the private sector produced 372 million 946 thousand manat. On the other positions it is reported that the volume of agricultural production in the first half compared with the corresponding index of 2011 increased by 5.5%, the volume of cargo - by 10.6%, services, information and communication – by 6.6%, retail trade - by 17.5%, and paid services - by 14.6%.
External trade in the first half of the year was $ 183 million, of which $ 35 million 55 thousand (19.1%) was imported, and $ 148 million 206 thousand (80.9%) was exported.
The average monthly salary amounted to 358.4 manat on the official figures.
The Nakhchivan Autonomy is a subsidized enclave. This year, the Azerbaijani parliament gave it 258 million manat (85% of the revenue). - 17D-

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
