OTC Market share increased by 92%
In July of this year, the OTC market investment securities recorded transactions for the sale of 1,223,237 shares of non-financial companies, worth about 2.3 million manat. Activity in the market has continued to grow, although investors are not aware of what stocks are popular.
The Baku Stock Exchange (BSE) has announced the overall indicators of the OTC market shares, according to which, compared with the previous month, the number of shares which are the subject of sale has increased by 2.2 times. In value terms, the OTC market grew by 92%. Contrary to the rules of deals of the purchase and sale of registered securities investment of the State Committee for Securities of August 2011, the BSE does not provide information on specific transactions.
From 1 to July 31 of this year were concluded sale and purchase 278,472 shares of industrial companies and 999,765 shares of companies other spheres of activity. BSE does not provide information about the number of OTC transactions, most of which is the nature of the insider. SSC continues to keep quiet on the illegal actions of BSE and is not responding to Turan IA about it. - 08B-

Azerbaijan’s imports of animal and vegetable fats and oils climbed 23.9% by weight and 16.2% by value from January to September 2024, official data revealed. Despite the uptick in volume, the import cost of these products saw a decrease compared to the same period last year, with the cost per ton of vegetable oil falling by 6.1% to $1,199.6 in 2024, down from $1,278.6 in 2023.
