Payment for travel by Bakcell
The first local mobile operator LLC Bakcell is ready to provide a new service. On the agenda, there is payment of public transport through mobile phones, as CEO Richard Shearer told the media today.
According to him, the organization of mobile payments to pay for public transport is one of the priorities of the company's plans. The essence of the new items that the fare is not deducted from the mobile subscriber's balance. The company intends to create an autonomous additional account, where you can be making payments.
Azerbaijan, however, this is not a gimmick - fare in Baku Metro mobile phone is available to subscribers of Azercell. The service includes the possibility of buying an electronic balance for travel in the metro by funds from the mobile subscriber's account.
Leading operator Azercell is ready to implement the travel costs to the shuttle. Azerbaijan’s imports of animal and vegetable fats and oils climbed 23.9% by weight and 16.2% by value from January to September 2024, official data revealed. Despite the uptick in volume, the import cost of these products saw a decrease compared to the same period last year, with the cost per ton of vegetable oil falling by 6.1% to $1,199.6 in 2024, down from $1,278.6 in 2023.
