Portal of government payments to add two departments
The users of portal of government payments next year will see the window of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan.
Integration of internal information systems of these agencies in the portal will be completed by the end of the year, said in an interview with Vergiler (organ of the Ministry of Taxes), deputy director of payment systems and settlement of the Central Bank Vahid Gurbanli.
Integration will enable businesses and individuals to make payments under the Ministry of Interior, and State services electronically. According to him, the next step will be the connection of the Ministry of Industry and Energy, the State Securities Committee, the Ministry of Health and other government agencies to said portal.
Currently connected are the Ministry of Taxes and the Treasury, the Office of Main Traffic Police, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the State Social Protection Fund.
According to Gurbanli, the portal acts on the technical platform of KOMIS connected to 41 local banks, as well as LLC Azerpoct.
He also announced payment statistics for 3 quarters through the national payment systems (84 billion 423 million manat, increasing by 16% compared to the same period last year). The number of payment cards in circulation as of 1 October was 4.92 million units (+10%), ATMs - 2 thousand 224 (+8%), pos-terminals - 36 thousand 702 (more than double increase). - 17D-

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
