Prague to support projects of Czech entrepreneurs in Azerbaijan
Baku/03.03.23/Turan: On March 2-3, the long-awaited 5th meeting of the Joint Commission on Economic Cooperation, Scientific, Technical and Cultural Cooperation between Azerbaijan and the Czech Republic took place in Prague.
According to the Czech Embassy in Azerbaijan, the Czech delegation was headed by Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Petr Tresnak, and the Azerbaijani delegation was headed by Deputy Minister of Economy Sahib Mammadov.
This year, the session focused on business and investment cooperation, environmental technologies, and energy.
Prague believes that the Azerbaijani-Czech consultations will give an additional impetus to further cooperation in conditions when economic relations between the two states are experiencing a post-pandemic rise.
The Czech Republic is exploring opportunities to expand its presence in the transport and energy sectors and hopes for new investment opportunities for its companies in Azerbaijan. Earlier, a group of Czech companies successfully participated in the reconstruction of the Azerbaijani part of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway corridor,
