Presentation on Needs of Food Market of Kazakhstan
Azerbaijani government considers Kazakhstan as a promising market for agricultural and food products. To this end, on June 30 Fund Export and Investment Promotion in Azerbaijan (AZPROMO) held in Baku Business Center a presentation on the needs of the food market of Kazakhstan.
The press service of the Ministry of Economy and Industry told Turan that around 30 representatives of local companies will get familiar with the procedures of access to foreign markets, the applicable standards for exports, logistics issues, as well as the services of AZPROMO in this direction.
Director, Center for Business Information AZPROMO Anar Gasimli spoke about the current situation on the food market in Kazakhstan, about the trend in prices for individual products, the mechanism of distribution of goods, as well as supermarket chains interested in the sale in the country of Azerbaijani goods.
Note that according to the State Customs Committee, in the first quarter of this year, Kazakhstan exported 291.4 tons of agricultural and food products (apples, green and black tea, green peas, jams and preserves) worth $ 300.4 thousand.
In September this year, commissioning of a logistics center is scheduled in Aktau, Kazakhstan. The Center is constructed by the group of companies Azersun Holding. The estimated cost of the work is 20 million Euros. The foundation of the logistics center in the seaport Aktau was founded in June 2014.
In the center there will be a modern refrigeration warehouse which will store 10 thousand tons of agricultural products, including 2.5 thousand tons of fresh fruits and vegetables for sale on the west of Kazakhstan. In the next phase of the project it is expected to create a sorting and packaging infrastructure, production and processing enterprises. --08D-
