Primary market share rose in January and February by 6.4 times
The total turnover of transactions on all instruments at Baku Stock Exchange (BSE) in January-February 2013 amounted to 1,053.137 million manat, which is 45.1% less than it was in the corresponding period of the previous year.
According to the BSE, the share of government securities in the reported period was 94.8% of all transactions.
The decline in exchange sales was due to the government securities market, decreased by 46.8%. Turnover of transactions in the primary market of notes decreased 2.5 times. The volume of REPO transactions decreased 47.6%.
The corporate securities market increased 35.5%. Operations on the primary placement of bonds increased by 24.2%, and the volume of secondary transactions in bonds fell three times. Primary market share increased by 6.4 times, and the secondary - by 53.6%. The number of transactions in the primary market increased from 9 to 35, and the secondary - from 304 to 584. - 15D -
