Production of agricultural products increased by 5.9%
For the first ten months of 2012, Azerbaijan produced agricultural products totaling AZN 4,363.8 mln. It is in constant prices 5.9% more than in the same period of 2011, the State Statistics Committee told Turan.
The output of plant crops grew by 6.5%, and the output of livestock grew by 5.1%.
Meat production in the country increased by 3.6% to 387.2 thsd tons in live weight. In a greater rate increased milk production (+5.5% to 1,436.3 thousand tons). The year 2011 was a critical year for the poultry country. However, this year the sector once again came to life and with the production of about 1 billion eggs increased by 19.5%.
According to the State Statistics Committee, the share of the agricultural production in the GDP amounted to 5.9%. - 08B -
