Production of Tea Leaves Increased by 27.9%
In Azerbaijan, the collecting of tea has completed. This year, the production of tea leaves increased by 27.9%, the State Statistics Committee said.
Tea fermentation plants were sold 557.9 tons of the crop, which was 121.7 tons more compared to 2014.
According to the State Customs Committee, in the first nine months Azerbaijan imported about 5 thousand tons of tea, which was 13.6% less than in the comparable period in 2014. Exports of tea (3,780 tons) fell by 1,052 tons (27.8%).
In 2014, the volume of imports declared by companies was 8,183 tons of green and black tea. According to the State Statistics Committee, in view of people passing through borders the import volume reached 13,244 tons. --- 08B

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
