Ramin Guluzade is appointed the Minister of Communications
In accordance with the presidential decree, a 39-year-old Ramin Guluzade was appointed the Minister of Communications and High Technologies. In November last year Guluzade was appointed Acting Minister, after the dismissal of Ali Abbasov. Previosuly Guluzade served as director of the Department Manager of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.
Ali Abbasov was dismissed amid a scandal over corruption in the ministry of abuse of power by tapping phones of citizens together with the employees of the Ministry of National Security. -06D--

Tea imports to Azerbaijan have increased. According to the State Customs Committee, from January to November 2024, tea imports grew by 3.3% year-on-year to 12,893 tons in volume and by 4.5% in value, amounting to $67.715 million.
