Regional Internet Governance Forum to Be Held in Baku December 2-3
The date of the Second Regional Forum on Internet Governance is known. According to the report of the Ministry of Communication and High Technologies of Azerbaijan, the event will take place in Baku on December 2-3 within the framework of the exhibition program Bakutel-2014.
The Forum organizers are the Ministry of Communications, United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UNDESA), the Internet Forum of Azerbaijan, as well as the UNDP Office in Azerbaijan. The theme of this year's event is Multilateral Platform for Regional Economic Growth and Cultural Development through ICT.
Azerbaijan is not the only country, where regional and national Internet Governance Forums are arranged in order to support their global analogue (IGF). Such events discuss technical, organizational and legal aspects related to the mentioned topics. --17D-

Azerbaijan's financial standing continues to strengthen as the country's foreign currency reserves have surged to $71 billion as of January 1, 2025, according to the Ministry of Finance.
