The State Committee for Securities on Friday hosted a seminar on the use of electronic registration of investment securities.
According to the press service of the SSC, at today's seminar was attended by about 70 representatives of banks, insurance companies and SOCAR, the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan Investment Company , professional participants of the securities market .
In Azerbaijan, issuers and brokers still use the paper form of documentation, though SCS introduced many electronic services to supervise the securities market since the end of 2012 . Professional market participants argue that these services are used only they and issuers remain on the sidelines. SCS has not engaged enlightenment about the new opportunities for reporting and recording of the Central Bank.
It should be noted that the Central Bank is working with the SSC registration for 1.5 years. - 08D-
