Resource Revenues in Oil-producing Countries Should Be Managed by Transparent Methods
The management of resource revenues is important for post-Soviet countries, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan as the oil-producing states should consider this factor.
This was the main topic of the 3-day workshop in Almaty, organized by the Center for Eurasian knowledge and training about the mining industry, Khazar University with financial support from the Institute of revenue control (ICD - USA).
Azerbaijani coaches (Econ. Gubad Ibadoglu, head of the Public Finance Monitoring Center Inglab Akhmedov and director of the regional structure of the ICD Ghalib Efendiev) told local leading economists from Astana, Semipalatinsk, Almaty and Shymkent on international experience in this field.
The participants were offered a variety of modules studies of the impact of fiscal rules and the factors on the foundations of social welfare.
