Upper Domain .az Transferred to New Security Protocol
The national domain .Az will be transferred to the new security protocol DNSSEC (Domain Name System Security Extensions).
As said during a conference on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of domain CEO IntraNS (national domain registrar. Az) Faiq Farmanov work to translate domain to the new security protocol is in test mode.
DNSSEC algorithm eliminates a number of architectural vulnerabilities in DNS by using a digital signature. This technology allows you to get rid of some of the vulnerabilities in the DNS address and reduce the risk of substitution of system response.
The method signature, which is the basis of the Protocol provides users with data validation and DNS response. To date, DNSSEC most widely used in the financial and banking sector.
As said at the conference vice president of ICANN in Russia, the CIS and Eastern Europe, Veni Markovski, DNSSEC is used today in many countries and it is gradually approaching the generally accepted standard.
"Our main objective is to secure, stable and sustainable operation of domain zones. To help people typing Web-address, got into their desired resource. Complete the transition to the new security protocol depends on the registrar. We can only provide technical support and expertise in this matter.
Security problems that exist in the domain of the old system will be eliminated as soon as it applied a new security protocol. I think in the next two or three years, all countries will move to DNSSEC," said Markowski. - 17D-
