Revenues of Mobile Telecom Reached 60% of All ICT Services
The State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan announced macroeconomic indicators of economic and social development of the country in January- October 2013.
The Committee reports that since the beginning of the year to the population of enterprises, businesses, and organizations to provide communication services in the amount of AZN 1.3 bn (+8.5 % compared to the figures for November 1 last year).
Revenues from mobile communications increased 13.5 % to 744.5 million manat, or 59.3 % of total revenues. - 17D-

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
