Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan to date have no formal agreement on the supply of gasoline, said the spokesman of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) Nizamaddin Guliyev, reports bnews.kz. "A proposal from the Kazakh side is available, but to date there is no formal agreement on this issue," said Guliyev.
The press secretary did not comment on the possibility to export Azerbaijani petrol to a particular foreign country.
Earlier, the First Deputy Minister of Energy of Kazakhstan Uzakbai Karabalin said the National Company KazMunaiGas to cover the deficit of fuel and lubricants in the country is considering importing gasoline from Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan.
On Monday, the Azerbaijani media reported that Kazakhstan signed a contract for the supply of three thousand tons of gasoline AI-92 from Azerbaijan, and in other publications on Wednesday, citing a source in SOCAR, they said that Azerbaijan has refused to export gasoline to Kazakhstan, explaining that today virtually all the gasoline produced in the country comes to the domestic market. -12D--
