SOCAR Considers Possibility of Construction of Terminal in Benin
SOCAR is considering the possibility of building a terminal for oil products in the city of Cotonou of Benin, as well as the implementation of a number of infrastructure projects in West Africa, SOCAR said.
According to the report, the Azerbaijani delegation headed by the Minister of Energy Natig Aliyev paid a visit to Burkina Faso and Benin at the invitation of the governments of these countries.
During the meetings the sides discussed issues of establishing connections between the fuel and energy complex of Azerbaijan and West African countries, and mutually beneficial economic cooperation.
“The delegation, which also included SOCAR Vice President on Investments and Marketing Elshad Nasirov, Chairman of Azerkimya Production Association Mukhtar Babayev and Director of SOCAR Trading Arzu Azimov, met with the President of Burkina Faso Rock Marc Christian Kaboré, during which the parties designated the importance of developing the bilateral relations. Then, during a meeting with the Prime Minister of Burkina Faso Paul Kaba Tieba they discussed issues of cooperation between SOCAR and SONABHY (State Oil Company of Burkina Faso), concrete joint projects, the supply of oil to Burkina Faso, as well as the construction of a SOCAR terminal in the port of Cotonou in Benin and implementation of a number of other infrastructure projects,” the statement says.
The Azerbaijani delegation also held a meeting in the city of Cotonou of Benin with the Minister of Energy, Water Resources and Mining, the Finance Minister, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of that country, as well as with the leadership of the State Oil Company of Benin, SONACOP. -12D—

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today.
