SOCAR placed deposits worth half a billion AZN in local banks
By January 1, 2016 SOCAR placed 543 million AZN as deposits in three Azerbaijani banks, reads the consolidated report about SOCAR’s financial operations last year audited by Ernst& Young.
Of this amount 461 million AZN was placed at the International Bank of Azerbaijan (IBA), 32 million AZN at Halq Bank and 50 million AZN at Pasha Bank.
During this period the interest rates of these deposits totaled Libor+70, Libor+3 and Libor+6, respectively. The initial term of post restante deposit is three months.—0—

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
