SOCAR to supply all religious organizations in Georgia with free gas
Georgian Energy Minister Kakhi Kaladze has thanked Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev for the decision to supply all religious organizations in Georgia with free gas within one year, reported Georgia-Online.
The memorandum has been signed in Georgia’s Patriarchate today between the Catalikos-Patriarch of Georgia Iliya II and SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev.
“Today is a very important day. Patriarchate and State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) have signed the memorandum, which envisages supplying all religious organizations in Georgia with free natural gas. The memorandum will come into effect on November 1, 2013 and will expire in November 2014. In the future such a mutual cooperation could be continued,” Kaladze said.
SOCAR President told journalists that the Georgian Energy Ministry has offered to establish such a cooperation and the SOCAR administration has agreed.—0--
