SOFAZ Sells $ 50 Million to 27 Banks
At the regular foreign exchange auction of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, which took place on July 26, the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) sold $ 50 million.
Thus it satisfied the demand of 27 banks that participated in the auction.
The previous auction was held on July 21, which also sold $ 50 million to 26 banks.
The Fund's assets are $ 35.1 billion. This year it should provide a receipt of $ 7.615 billion to the state budget. -0-

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
