SOFAZ Sells Four Banks $ 2.4 Million
Today the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) through an auction organized by the Central Bank of Azerbaijan sold $ 2.4 million.
According to SOFAZ, if every time it exhibited on sale $ 100 million, the last two trades it put half the amount.
The auction was attended by only four banks, while in the previous auction there was only one, though in the past week there were 20 credit and financial institutions. Overall, for nearly two weeks SOFAZ has sold more than $ 200 million.
According to SOFAZ, the sale of foreign currency will continue during 2016. Implementation of foreign currency trade is carried out in the framework of the SOFAZ transfers to the state budget, which is 7 billion 615 million AZN this year.
By January 1, SOFAZ assets amounted to $ 33.57 billion (minus 9.5% to early 2015). --17D-
