State Railways Increase Number of Trains on Baku-Sumgait-Baku Route

BAKU, Nov 20 (Reuters) - The United Nations COP 29 climate summit in Baku is unlikely to conclude on its scheduled date of Nov. 22, as key agreements, including the New Collective Quantitative Goal (NCQG) on climate finance, remain unresolved, two informed sources told Turan.

Azerbaijan plans to construct two advanced data centers utilizing carbon-neutral technologies and sustainable materials, the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport announced. The facilities, to be located in Absheron and Hajigabul districts, will operate under the state-owned AzInTelecom LLC.

In a bid to bridge the gap between technology and education, global social media giant TikTok has unveiled plans to enhance educational opportunities for Azerbaijan's citizens. Representatives of the platform met with Azerbaijani officials on November 19 to explore collaborative projects aimed at leveraging TikTok's vast reach for educational and social development.

Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company (ASCO) has achieved a 20% reduction in emissions compared to 2022 levels, exceeding the International Maritime Organization’s (IMO) 2030 target, ASCO Chairman Rauf Veliyev announced during a presentation at COP-29 events in Baku on Monday.
