Statistics of the Ministry of Communications Improved
BAKU/30.08.13/TURAN : In the Year of the ICT Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies of Azerbaijan has mobilized an action plan to " improve ICT statistics in line with international experience ."
As stated in the press release of the Ministry of Communications , proposals to improve the reporting forms prepared and submitted to the State Statistics Committee .
Last year, for the measurement of the use of ICT in the country in February and March of this year, the State Statistics Committee conducted a sample survey on the use of information and communication technologies in households, the results of which are reflected in the book " The Information Society in Azerbaijan in 2013 ."
April 24-26 of this year, the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), in order to bring the countries of statistics in line with international standards , to assist in this area of the CIS countries , the study of mutual discussions and proposals , in Nakhchivan hosted a regional seminar on " The performance shown communications / ICT in line with international standards. "
"At the present time , to bring ICT statistics in line with international statistics , the State Committee in a letter dated 21.06.2013 № RITN-MIS-6/1990 form of statistical indicators presented annually by international organizations to fill, but the filling , which is impossible.
