Stock market dipped last year by 11.6%
BAKU/09.01.14/TURAN : The total turnover of transactions on all instruments at Baku Stock Exchange (BSE) in 2013 amounted to 8,475.86 million manat, which is 5.9 % more than in the previous year.
According to BSE , the share of government securities in the previous year was 83.6 % of all transactions. Reducing the volume of exchange sales came at the expense of the government securities market, decreased by 12.4%. Turnover of transactions in the primary market of notes decreased by 2.9 times. The volume of repo operations decreased by 3.6%.
The corporate securities market increased by 52.8 %. Operations on the primary placement of bonds increased 2.5 times and the volume of secondary transactions in bonds - 2.3 times. Primary market share decreased by 13.3% , while the secondary conversely increased by 34.6% . Number of transactions in the primary market decreased from 548 to 349, and in the secondary - increased from 3,413 to 3,505. Overall, the market shares for the year decreased by 11.6% - 15D

Data on Azerbaijan's oil exports for January-October 2024 reveals a significant drop in both volume and value compared to the same period last year, highlighting the challenges facing the oil-dependent economy. The country exported 495,484.05 tons of oil products worth $309.02 million, a decrease of 40.3% in value and 40.7% in volume compared to 2023, when exports totaled 925,225.07 tons worth $572.21 million.
