Structural Changes in JSC Azersu
The Cabinet of Ministers made on October 12 structural changes in the monopolist of the supply and provision of sewerage services - JSC Azersu, according to which 5 of its structural units lost independence.
The ecology department was attached to the Bakvodokanal department. The Jeyranbatan water supply department merged with the Oguz-Gabala-Baku and H.Z. Tagiyev water supply departments. Subsidiaries of Ganja Vodokanal and Sheki Vodokanal will continue to work within the structure of Combined Vodokanal. The departments of Mingachevir Water Utility and Shirvan Water Utility derived from the structure of JSC Azersu and were transferred to Combined Vodokanal LLC.
According to the structure of JSC Azersu approved in 2005, it also includes the offices of Sumgait Vodokanal, Absheron Vodokanal, Instrumentation, Industrial and Technical Equipment, Transport and Special Equipment, Central Laboratory, the company Vodostroy and 13 water utility departments in Baku. -----08D

Azerbaijan's financial standing continues to strengthen as the country's foreign currency reserves have surged to $71 billion as of January 1, 2025, according to the Ministry of Finance. This figure, which includes reserves held by the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) and the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), far exceeds the nation's external debt, which stands at a fraction of its reserves, specifically nearly 14 times less. This robust reserve position reflects Azerbaijan's fiscal stability and the government’s strategic economic management.
