Swiss Stadler Rail Group Expands Collaboration with Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan’s natural gas production is forecast to rise to 37.8 billion cubic meters (bcm) in 2024, up from 36.4 bcm in 2023, according to a report by the country’s Accounts Chamber evaluating the draft state budget.

The Executive Director of the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Agency (AZPROMO), Yusif Abdullayev, held talks on November 19 in Baku with Heather Evans, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Manufacturing at the U.S. International Trade Administration, discussing initiatives to attract American companies to Azerbaijan.

Azerbaijan generated 23,847.3 million kWh of electricity in the first ten months of 2024, according to preliminary operational data.

Azerbaijan’s Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov presented the country’s ambitious green energy goals during a COP29-related event organized by the Federation of German Industry. The event was attended by Germany’s Vice Chancellor and Minister for Economic Affairs and Climate Action, Robert Habeck.
