Tajikistan has most expensive fuel in central Asia
In the past three years Tajikistan has become the country with the most expensive automobile fuel in Central Asia, reported Asia-Plus news agency quoting the monitoring of petrol and diesel fuel prices in four capitals of Central Asian countries on the www.mezon.uz internet portal.
According to the table, petrol and diesel fuel prices in Dushanbe are $0.50-0.60 higher, than in Astana, Bishkek and Tashkent
For instance, AI-92 petrol is sold at an average price of $1.30 per liter in Dushanbe, $0.80 in Bishkek and $0.81 in Astana.
One liter of AI-95 petrol costs in average $1.40 in the capital of Tajikistan, $0.70 more than in Tashkent, $0.50 more than in Bishkek and $0.40 more than in Astana.
Tajikistan is the only Central Asian country, which imports expensive fuel, said the Ministry of Energy and Industry of Tajikistan.
Till 2010 Tajikistan exported fuel from Russia without any duties. Now duty of oil products is $300- 400 per 1 ton, which affects retail prices inside the country.-0—
